Animal SnApp by Nosy Crow is a storybook app done by Axel Scheffler, the person who illustrated The Gruffalo. This is a fantastic, imaginative, interactive short story app made especially for preschoolers. Once you choose between Ready by Myself or Read and Play, your child will play a delightful matching game where he or she will make hilarious matches until the correct match is made. Once the animal is matched, you’ll see that particular animal’s story. The app actually is made up of six different stories: Gobbly Goat, Diggity Dog, Lucky Lamb, Cuddly cow, Portly Pig, and Higgledy Hen. All of them have a child narrator, fun music, and a great story.

Animal SnApp app review As the narrator reads along, each of the words is highlighted to help young readers identify sight words and to read along. If you tap on the animals, additional dialogue will pop up; sometimes you can even help the animal move throughout the farm. Your preschooler will love these stories. This is one of those must-have storybook apps! The app was updated to Version 1.0.1 on November 7, 2012. The update made a minor bug fix. There are currently not enough customer ratings for iTunes to display and average, but the comment is positive. There’s no way that a kid wouldn’t enjoy this app.
