This app provides key health and well-being information for the benefit of the employees of the Belfast Trust. It focusses on two main areas - physical health and well-being and psychological health and well-being. The app contains some unique content that has been composed by a variety of Belfast Trust health professionals including Occupational Health Physiotherapists, Clinical Psychologists, Cognitive Behaviour Therapists and members of the Health Improvement team. This content includes over 50 videos and over 90 minutes of voice recordings. The app format allows busy Belfast Trust staff the opportunity to dip in and out of resources at a time that is most convenient to them. ‘b active’ : Under this physical health and well-being section you can learn about common injuries and how to maintain the mobility and strength of your muscles and joints. Under the 'Sit Less: Move More' section you can learn how to counteract the harmful effects of sitting too much. Under ‘Fit4Work: Fit4Life’ we take a look at how to ensure your body strong is enough to meet the demands of your health service job. ‘b active’ also contains useful ergonomic advice and guidance to help optimise how you sit through the day. Mind ur mind: Under this psychological and emotional well-being section we look at three main components. Stress, mindfulness and resilience. Stress: Working in a busy Health Trust can be stressful. Learn what stress is, how to spot signs of stress and listen to our guided relaxation audio to help you learn to control your own stress levels. Mindfulness: The app sheds light on this increasingly popular topic and provides access to some full length mindfulness voice recordings as well as some shorter clips for those on-the-move mindfulness opportunities. Resilience: learn what resilience is and how you, as a busy NHS worker, can boost your own resilience.
