Use is easy:

* Save

To see if the pages are accessible or if you have been updated enough to deliver Page Monitor and audit will start automatically.

To receive notifications you have to start the app, after which you can safely use your iPhone to do anything else, Page Monitor will periodically check the pages you configured and will notify you of any changes via push notifications. Keep in mind that while the app works in the background mode the time between checks and the other will be managed entirely by the iOS.

* Work in background
* Alert for change with notification
* Warn if the pages are not accessible
* Warn if the pages have been changed since the last time that you visit
* Warn if the modified pages contain a specific text
* Allows you to search URL using a convenient internal browser
* Show date and time of last modification detected
* Display the pages using Safari or internal browser
* Lets you configure a time for the automatic refresh (with app in foreground)

******** Background note ********
Page Monitor works in background using iOS background API (but if you restart your iphone you must launch the app manually).

The background mode have to be enabled in settings page of Page Monitor. By activating this option, the app continues to check for any changes in the pages you configured even while you're not using and will notify you via notifications. The time between a test and the other is not configurable, it is the same iOS to decide when to proceed.

In Settings (of iPhone) -> General -> Background update - check that the background update is neabled for Page Monitor.

In Settings (of iPhone) -> Notification - check that the notifications are enabled for Page Monitor.

In ios you can't decide the time between checks. the app haven't this control for Apple constraints. Page Monitor runs in background with "Background Update" functions of Ios and it sends you the local notifications but with ios timer. Often the timer runs when your device is in standby, locked.

Continued use in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
