Minute Math is a game that helps children learn basic math skills and especially the ability to memorize their addition, subtraction, and multiplication facts for problems containing numbers 1 through 10. You will be amazed at how this game can help a child learn these critical math facts.
The game consists of 1 minute rounds where the user tries to answer as many questions correctly as possible. The problems are presented one at a time in a large and visually appealing format. After each entry the user receives immediate confirmation of whether the last answer was correct or incorrect.
A scoreboard at the bottom of the screen keeps track of the time remaining as well as the number of correct and incorrect answers and the current percentage correct.
Change Modes - A settings screen allows the user to switch between addition, subtraction and multiplication modes.
Report Card - A report card screen summarizes the results of all rounds played during the current session (since the app was last opened).
Number Entry - Minute math uses direct entry with the popup number pad as opposed to the multiple choice that many math apps use. We believe this provides a better learning experience and is more entertaining as well.
This game was developed with the input of grade school children as well as observation of their use of the game. While children may not always enjoy studying their math facts the traditional way, they will enjoy doing it in this fun and entertaining way. They will be entertained, but more importantly they will also learn during the process. The scoreboard and report card add a great competitive aspect of the game that inspires users to continue to try again to improve their best results. It also provides a nice means for parents to see how many problems their child answered and how they performed in each mode that they played (addition, subtraction, etc)
