Work Right is an App for teachers and adults working with young people on their rights and responsibilities in the workplace. The resource is centred on ten themes for ensuring a ‘fair go for all’ in the workplace. The App is designed to help teachers, parents and employers navigate through this complex area. The App provides accurate up to date advice from some of Australia’s leading industrial relations experts, including university academics, barristers, former Industrial Relations Commissioners, union and employer representatives. This advice has been further reviewed by the Office of the Fair Work Ombudsman. The App covers the following topics: Fair Go at Work Work with Dignity Discrimination and Harassment Safe and Healthy Having a Say About the Things That Affect Them Unions and representatives Being Dismissed Fair Basic Conditions Getting a Fairer Deal Resolving Disputes The resource is the result of collaboration between the industrial expertise supplied by the Australian Institute of Employment Rights (AIER) and the teaching and learning expertise accessed by the Teacher Learning Network (TLN).
