The Provider Locator app allows Magellan Behavioral Health (Magellan) members to search for behavioral health and / or Employee Assistance Program clinicians, group practices and facilities. It displays current and detailed provider information throughout the United States based on geographic proximity or other search criteria that you have selected and customer plan design. Please note: These providers are not specifically recommended by Magellan over others. Magellan provides this search app of providers for information purposes only. Please consult your doctor about medical advice or concerns and see Important Information available when you download the app.
Members search most easily when GPS is enabled and active on the phone. The app will use the geocode to get the ZIP code and default to 5 miles radius. The member can of course change the ZIP code and radius to fit the need.
Filters allow the member to target specific areas such as gender, specialty, ages treated, ethnicity and languages spoken by the provider. The results include providers' phone, address, credentials, discipline, specialties, map and driving directions, gender, ages treated, ethnicity, languages spoken and accessibility information.
Once a provider is selected, the app can initiate the call to the provider to schedule an appointment, if allowed by the specific plan. The app is designed to be simple, engaging and attractive. Please note that pre-certification of care is often required for coverage. When making your appointment with a selected provider, please ask the provider to pre-certify the care by calling the number found on your benefit card. For any questions about a provider or coverage, call your Magellan program toll-free number found on your benefit card prior to making an appointment with any provider.
While this information is updated daily, please remember that clinician information and status may change from time to time. Clinicians have supplied the information provided in the app and we cannot guarantee that it is complete. This list is subject to change without notice and there is no guarantee that a provider/hospital will be in the network when services are received. Therefore, please communicate with your provider that you are seeking in-network services so they can confirm their network status for your plan.
