Science meets running-- iRunSmart uses scientific principles and statistical data to make accurate race time predictions for novice or experienced runners. The app takes a single race time and uses statistical fatigue factors to predict race times for shorter and longer distances. iRunSmart takes into consideration, gender, age, runner type (i.e., sprinter, average or long distance runner) and fatigue factor.
iRunSmart uses age-related factors to predict a runner's race time for earlier or later years. For example, a 30 year old runner can predict race times for the future age of 75. This feature also enables the user to look back at races from previous years and determine if current race times are better or worse (based on the effects of aging).
Finally, iRunSmart ranks a runner (of any age and for any distance) against world class runners. The app ranks competitiveness as: Local, Regional, National or World Class competitor.
