The centuries-old know-how and its various crafts will be displayed in a setting that displays their true value, the region’s industry players united under one roof, and the public provided with an instructive form of entertainment, combined with new ideas that will shake up the very definition of museum. Dusted off and revisited, the museum will immerse visitors in a new type of museum, enlivened by new technologies.
Craftmanship tables and touchscreen tablets, 3D films, Ludotemps games: all combine to provide a different experience that is both virtual and interactive.
Ludotemps will enable visitors to virtually dismantle and reassemble a calibre, decorate a watch as they wish, and obtain information about parts and their functions. Interactive tablets will present the various watchmaking crafts in a fun way, while 3D, real time, touch tablets and interactive tables all provide revolutionary guides that are mostly new to Switzerland, and created in partnership with the Ecole Technique de la Vallée de Joux. All this combines to provide 500m2 of contemporary museum, punctuated by innovative media.
