YOLO.com is an activity- sharing club created as an event platform.
The main goal of this project is to allow users to search for local events, which are usually hard to discover. YOLO.com also encourages small business owners to freely advertise their events and activities to all users.
The manifesto of YOLO.com is to help people make their life more eventful and exciting, to escape from daily routine and to discover local events, places and people around them.
The unique point for YOLO.com is the display of unique events that are hard to find on other sites. Moreover, unusual events are taken directly from activity owners with whom we are in partnership with. For example, a small ski school in Midlothian, farmers markets in local villages, craft fairs and much more.
These events may not be online without YOLO.com so this project provides a platform for event owners and small businesses to advertise events for free.
YOLO.com collects events from different placements. The technology behind YOLO.com can pick up on the associated comments and ratings of this event, which already exist online. Once this information is collected then the team will check and approve all this content.
YOLO.com does not cater for just those young, free and adventurous. YOLO.com has carried out extensive consumer profiling in order to know their target audience. Targeting a hugely diverse audience means this website is appropriate for families with small children, parents, teenagers and couples.
Examples of YOLO-style events that we feature on the site are the recent beer festival in Edinburgh- Oktoberfest, Tandem Skydiving in Kent or Kayaking lessons in Dorset. YOLO.com highlights small, extreme and unique events local to you, right on your doorstep. YOLO.com encourages people to make the most of their local area, see what is on and get involved.
YOLO.com invites event organisers and small business owners to join in partnership where YOLO.com will provide a free platform to display your events on. If you would like to hear more information about this business proposition then do not hesitate to contact us.
YOLO.com has participated at the Berlin TechCrunch Start Up Alley in October 2013. Where after YOLO.com achieved a lot of coverages and received great feedback. We are happy to present you first version of YOLO which is now live for public use.
