Founded in 1906, the Golf and Country Club Cologne eV is one of the oldest and most prestigious golf clubs in Germany.
After it was established in the interior of a horse race course, its was located in the left bank of Clogone until the 2nd World War II. In the fifties, it was redesigned to the modern golf course of today by Bernhard von Limburger, and moved to the present location in Refrath. Since then, the golf and country club Cologne has hosted the German Open, the International Amateur Championships and the Hennessy-Ladies-Cup several times.
