With Group Debts you can easily create and share expenses of a group, calculate how much each member owes and who should pay next.
Create multiple groups and members, add names and emails from Contacts list. Each member can belong to many groups.
Create Expenses, recording who pays, details of the expense and date. An expense can be either:
Evenly split (all members of the group are responsible for the expense), or unevenly split (only some members are responsible for the expense).
When adding a new member to a group, you can choose whether it will be responsible for the old expenses or not.
After creating expenses for a group, each member will either owe to the group, or the group will owe to the member.
You can settle debts by creating Transfers, recording that member A of the group paid member B an amount.
Settle Debts: calculate automatically what transfers have to be made between members, so that debts are settled and nobody owes anything.
The list of members of a group also specifies whether (and how much) a member:
Owes to the group (taking into account the expenses it has paid, the expenses for which it is responsible, the transfers it has made and it has received), or is owed by the group.
Who should pay next: Enter a future, evenly split, expense amount that needs to be paid. Then, calculate, for each member, which portion of that expense each member should pay. The app takes into account the past expenses and transfers, so that members who owe more to the group pay a higher portion of the future expense.
If these members actually pay the calculated amounts, you can record this activity as expenses.
Email an automatically generated report to all the members of a group, listing all expenses and transfers and specifying how much each member owes to the group (or the group owes to them).
