Leaping Lemmings is a humorous family-friendly strategy game for 2-6 players, based on the popular board game from GMT Games, designed by Rick Young and John Poniske. Each player controls a cloned clan of lemmings that have been specially trained to compete with the other lemming clans, all trying to scurry down a canyon and hurl themselves over a cliff. Distance and style points are important. One lemming diving with style and élan is worth as many as five of the more mundane divers. But beware the hungry eagles circling overhead or your lemmings might not even make the cliff edge!
Compatability and Play Modes: Leaping Lemmings is designed to be played on an iPad. Note: The app will not run on 1st generation iPads.
It features solo play against up to five very tricky and back-stabbing AI opponents, as well as Pass N' Play mode. Because there is so much player interaction in Leaping Lemmings, a multi-player network game (where you repeatedly stop to wait for another play to move a lemming) just didn't make sense to us, at least not yet. If the game is well-received and we see sufficient demand for online play, we'll consider adding it in a future update.
