An exciting game with a retro 2-D look and feel. Your ore seeking mission on Mars is aborted when Mission Control informs you that a Level 5 Sandstorm is heading your way. After quick calculations, you determine you'll never be able to blast off the surface in time. Safety only resides below the surface of Mars. Dangling from a makeshift crane you, your crew, and a simple rocket seek refuge deep below the surface. You plunge your rocket down a nearby deep mine shaft pit to avoid permanent damage from the storm. Your goal is to reach the pit bottom and safely land your ship, thus surviving the Martian sandstorm.
While plummeting down the pit you must avoid crashing into the walls or hitting random bombs left from the mine's security network that was supposed to keep others out. Probable death from bombs is better than definite death from the storm raging above. You have a limited number of lives. Pick up green supply stars as you free fall to gain points. With enough points you can earn more lives, protecting your rocket from the harmful effects of hitting the random bombs. You have no weapons to deploy because this was to be a peaceful mission. But if you earn enough points you'll be able to temporarily deploy a shield in front of your ship to push the bombs away.
As you fall further down the pit your ship will accelerate due to the effects of Martian gravity. This will make avoiding bombs and the walls even harder. Fall deep enough and you'll gather enough kinetic energy to slow your descent down allowing you to more easily maneuver around bombs and avoid the pit walls. How deep can you go? Can you reach the bottom and safely land your ship? If you can, then you get to progress to the next level for an even more challenging pit. There are an unlimited number of levels to conquer...how many will you complete?
