The 'European Heritage Map and Cultural Calendar of Thailand' maps, describes and illustrates some 250 sites that represent the common heritage resulting from centuries of Thai-European interactions, and it presents an up-to-date overview of all cultural events organised by the EU's Member States (and their institutes) in Thailand. This app guides its users past historical architecture and stories, while at the same informing them of the film screenings and concerts, exhibitions and plays coming up. In this way, the map aims to promote awareness and appreciation of the long and rich history of Euro-Thai relations - as well as to promote our vibrant cultural exchanges of the present!
This app is a project of the Thailand cluster of the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) and the diplomatic representations of the European Union in Thailand. The project was funded by the Delegation of the European Union and the EUNIC Cluster Fund; as well as the Embassies of Denmark, Italy and the Netherlands; and Alliance Française, Goethe Institut, Instituto Camoes and British Council.
