With that in mind we’ve scoured the Mac App Store to find apps we think you can’t live without, you’ll probably have your own list, but maybe we’ll be able to show you a few you’ve not used yet. Here are a few of the Apps we’ve found.

It seems that these days we have passwords for too many things, and we are expected to keep them all unique. With more complex passwords and the constant need to update them it can be hard to keep up with what password goes where. 1Password is a good tool to remedy this problem for you in a secure way. It helps you to keep the passwords in one place, with the level of security needed and even helps with storing credit card information. Handily there are also family membership plans to allow up to five installations of the software on multiple devices.

Dropbox

Dropbox is easily one of the best cloud storage services, not only offering a free service but also a nicely priced business option with the ability to have bigger storage space. Synchronising with a folder on your Mac it also makes it very easy to save your files into the cloud for use everywhere. The fact that it is cross-platform is also a plus too.

VLC Media Player

One of the best known free media players VLC Media Player allows the playback of many media files, and can handle near enough any non-DRM file that you try on it. This can be very useful when finding ways to access old media files, as well as the most up to date files available.

There are often times that apps are downloaded and they just dump files onto your Mac without a second thought, and leave them when the app is uninstalled.
