Addictive new game released

Twin Gates 2 is the new reflex game by Thousand Games K.K. that’ll get you hooked upon first play. The super simple graphics and basic structure of the game make it an instant classic and one that you’ll struggle to put down.

.

The game was developed by Koji Kenjyo, a former director of the Arcade Game development at Namco. Koji’s previous hits include Cosmo Gang: The Video, Cosmo Gang: The puzzle and the NAMCO Classic Collection. It’s no surprise that Koji has chosen to specialise in arcade-style games, as Twin Gates 2 is very much of that ilk: from the basic, ’80s style graphics to the trance-synth soundtrack with accompanying gulp sounds and disheartening drum rimshot when you lose.

.

To play, you must get the black and white balls into their respective ‘gates’, this is done by tapping the screen to alternate the gate’s colour to match that of the ball that’s hurtling towards it. Twin Gates 2 requires complete concentration as its simple premise is made up for by incredibly fast-paced game-play that allows zero margin for error.

The addictive reflex game consists of four game modes: duet (two gates), quartet (four gates), variable (which switches things up every round) and challenge (which takes you through over 100 increasingly difficult levels). As you move through the levels you earn coins that can be used to customize the ball and wallpaper graphics to your fancy.

Twin Gates 2 is a super fun and incredibly addictive reflex game that’s great for commutes or if you just want to while away the time. As you move up levels you are able to see your Facebook and Global ranking in compared to other gamers and if you feel like you want to see yourself in action then there’s the option for an instant replay as well. The app is available to download from the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (android) for free with the option of paying a one-off $1.99 to go ad-free. There are over 100 stages in total and if you can’t wait to unlock them, then there’s the option of paying $3.99 to have access to the full game all at once.
