Tired of all the old drinking games? Bored of civilised chat over chablis and pâté? Well good news party people because developers Drink-O-Tron are on the case and have just brought out their new drinking game app Drunk Potato. Same premise as the beloved children’s game Hot Potato (where kids throw a bean bag round a circle to music till the sound stops and the person left holding the bag is kicked outta the game), but with two major differences: booze and rudeness.
Drunk Potato is brash, hilarious, unbelievable cheeky, challenging and a whole lotta fun to play. To start the game a group need to nominate the ‘funniest’ person (good luck with that one), the chosen one will kick things off by either answering the first question or completing the first task. Once they’re done, they need to quickly hit next and pass to the game to the person on their left. This goes on until the time runs out and the person left holding the phone is required to take a gulp of their drink of choice. Expect questions like: When was the last time you masturbated? List 3 names a stripper might have, explain Harry Potter as fast as you can or even pass the game to whoever you think is ‘dumber’ than you. If for whatever reason you don’t feel like answering the questions or completing the tasks (can’t imagine why!) then you have the option to pass, however your lily-livered opt-out will be punished with a punitive three drink minimum.
Drunk Potato is free to download for both Android and iOS users and comes, mercifully, without any annoying advertorials. However, if you’d like to upgrade your drinking fun to ‘fuly loaded’ then you have the option of paying a one-off $0.99 to gain access to an additional 1000+ cheeky questions and challenges.
