Apple working hard to keep up with Retina iPad mini demand

Apple launched the highly-sought Retina iPad mini on Tuesday, and reports are already coming in that the demand is very high. The company has pledged that it is going to be working hard to cope with the high demand.

The Retina iPad mini is a huge upgrade from the previous model. Unfortunately Apple also increased the price to $399 for the base 16GB Wi-Fi only model. It includes the same display as the iPad Air, only it is 7.9 inches instead of 9.7. The resolution remains the same, so the Mini actually has the sharper screen. It’s also keeping up in processing power with the same A7 chip.

With regards to accessories, you’ll be able to get the typical Smart Covers. The basic-colored ones (blue, green, pink, yellow, black and product (RED)) cost $39 while the leather ones (yellow, beige, blue, brown, black and product (RED)) cost $69. The leather ones protect the back of the device as well.

You’re not yet able to get the product through Personal Pickup, but it’ll likely be on sale in Apple Stores across the U.S. It’s also available on the Apple Store but be quick: dispatch times are already looking like they’re slipping, especially on the larger-capacity models.
