Apple provides iOS 7.1 beta 4 to developers

Apple has released the fourth beta of iOS 7.1 to developers, fixing several bugs. One of the main bugs fixed is the message sending bug, which led to messages showing a failure message instantly after sending. However other areas, like the Bluetooth stack is still problematic, resulting in 32-bit apps not working properly on 64-bit devices.

Xcode has a significant update in this latest beta, with builder getting various tweaks and performance improvements. This has resulted in a decrease in CPU and system memory utilization.

If developers want to download the latest version, the can simply wait for the over-the-air update (if they have a previous version of iOS 7.1 beta) or download it immediately from the developer website.

It’s thought that Apple will release iOS 7.1 in March, and it seems like this latest beta is starting to solve some of the major issues. Apple usually releases these beta updates on a two-week cycle, so we can expect to see beta 5 on Tuesday the 4th of February.
