'Groupon Reserve' Offers Exclusive Deals And Premium Services

Groupon today launched Groupon Reserve, a service for loyal customers to take advantage of exclusive offers and premium services. Other daily deal companies including LivingSocial recently rolled out similar services aimed at involving higher end establishments and rewarding loyal customers.

Invitations to take advantage of a $70 three-course meal at Bice restaurant were sent to a select group of New York area residents. The invitation was signed by Groupon CEO Andrew Mason and read as follows:
"To thank you for your loyalty, we'd like to invite you to be among the first members to receive our select premium service, Groupon Reserve. As a member of Reserve, you will occasionally receive exclusive offers for premium experiences, like today's offer to Bice."
With daily deal companies proliferating, Groupon is trying different things to grow and counter criticism from businesses that its service does not bring in new repeat customers.
