According to the French website Nowhere Else, Apple is going to offer the iPhone 6 in three colors: either silver, grey, and gold, or silver, black, and gold. There has been no confirmation of the photos, but it’s a possibility because the iPhone 5S came in grey, silver, and gold as well. Fans will be happy that there will be a gold iPhone available; the gold iPhone 5S sold out very fast in Asia, and the supply was very limited in North America. The shortage created a huge buzz; either this was done on purpose by Apple, or the company vastly misjudged how popular that color would be in Asia. After the initial sales wore out, it seemed that gold wasn’t such a popular color amongst most iPhone buyers.
Consumers like it when Apple offers a new color. Typically the new color is the most popular out of the gates. Another example is when Apple started offering the white iPhone. It was an instant hit. Of course, not everyone will want a gold iPhone, but many people will want a gold iPhone 6, and everyone else will be happy with a grey, silver, or black one (depending on what’s offered).
