Apple lovers wait for hours in Canada

Yesterday also marked the release day of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus in Canada, with people lining up hours ahead in hopes of getting one of the devices. In Edmonton, people started lining up around 10 am on Thursday and waited almost 24 hours until the doors opened at the Apple Store at Southgate Mall at 8 am. Lu Li, who was first in line, was there right at 10 am on Thursday. Regarding the iPhone 6, he said it’s “much better” and that everything is “nicer.” By the time 6 am on Friday rolled around, the line went all the way to the parking lot.

This is the first time that Apple has put out two different phones with two different screen sizes at once.

Some people kept in good spirits; others, not so much. For those who stayed positive, some joked about getting a cinnamon bun in case they didn’t get to buy an iPhone. Apple didn’t announce how many of the devices it had in stock at the Southgate Mall location, but on Monday the company said it had taken in more than four million pre-orders for both de sizes. That means some people won’t get theirs until October.
