Trent Reznor, of the hugely popular band Nine Inch Nails, had an interview with Billboard to talk about his new job with Apple. He didn’t give many details, but said “it’s everything I asked for” and that his position would be related to the chief creative officer position he had at Beats Music before Apple bought it out. He’ll stay focused on the music streaming and delivery side of the business; in other words, he’s going to have a lot to say when it comes to Apple’s next move. According to Reznor, “It’s exciting to me, and I think it could have a big enough impact that it’s worth the effort. I’m fully in it right now, and it’s challenging, and it’s kind of everything I asked for - and the bad thing is it’s everything I asked for.” He agreed that his work at Apple could potentially take away the time he has to make music, but he says it’s worth it. He went on to say that streaming music services still have a ways to go to meet their full potential.
