Steve Wozniak: iPhone 6 is three years too late

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak has sided with Apple critics and says that the company should have come out with a larger phone much sooner than this year. Had Apple done so, he says, the company would have taken a larger piece of the smartphone market from Samsung and HTC over the last three years. Woz said, “Tech is like a song. You can get all the details from someone else, but you’re not sure you like it until you hear it for yourself.”

The 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 Plus were the first phones that were bigger than the usual four-inch displays. They were launched in September and have since blown away sales records. When they launched, HTC tweeted “Happy To Congratulate #Apple on joining the world of big screens!” as a mocking reference to the fact that HTC has had the “phablet” style of phone out for two years.
