Today Apple launched its Black Friday sale and for the first time in the history of the company, included deals when people bought a new iPhone. The sale offers a free $50 iTunes gift card with the purchase of any new iPhone 5S, 6, or 6 Plus, or an unlocked iPhone 5C. Shoppers who buy a MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, or iMac will get a $100 gift card; all iPad purchases will come with a $50 gift card. Anyone who buys Beats speakers or headphones, an iPod Nano or touch, or Apple TV will get a $25 (RED) iTunes gift card.
Last year Apple gave out Apple Store cards; this year’s deal with the iTunes cards means they can only be used for digital purchases like music or apps. Apple Store gift cards are good for online or in-store retail purchases.
