Astrid To-Do by Todoroo Inc.

Not only is Astrid To-Do simple to use but its to-do list is multiplatform, available to sync with Astrid’s website, and lists shareable via Facebook, Twitter and email. Throw in a cute octopus-like mascot (“Astrid” by the way is a Scandinavian name meaning “divine strength) and this app is a winner. Astrid To-Do does one thing but it does it supremely well. After downloading the free app Astrid To-Do offers two log in methods enabling list sharing: connect with Facebook or create an Astrid account. Adding tasks is simple achieved by typing into the task space or activating the iOS device’s mic to dictate whatever chore, errand or appointment you want. After the task is saved added details can be tacked on such as priority, assignment to a list the task falls under, or inviting support or advice from friends via Twitter, Facebook or email. A preset color code is available for each task in accordance to the pre-made lists in Astrid. Any task can be made entirely public, completely private or shared with a select group.

Delegating shared projects is made easier with Astrid To-Do by instantly sending task updates and comments to group members. Each group project will create a new list with all corresponding tasks and comments organized under it. Any list can easily be synced to Astrid.com on a computer making the to-do list more accessible to everyone. Whether its completing a college project or organizing a family picnic, Astrid To-Do keeps on top of every task needing completion.

There is a lot to like about Astrid To-Do which is easily more entertaining and useful than the native Notes app. Add in the social networking aspect and you’re ready to take off as a professional events organizer, even if the events you’re managing only impact your life.
