Apple wants to hire retail employees with “a fashion or luxury background” to help sell the upcoming Apple Watch. According to internal documents, it appears that the company is planning to gear-up to bring the almost-mythical wearable device to market. It’s possible Apple is planning to update its stores in order to present the Apple Watch as a luxury jewelry. We don’t know when exactly it’s going to come out, but we’ve seen evidence that it could be early 2015. Since the former CEO of Burberry, Angela Ahrendts, being hired to lead retail efforts, it’s possible there could be a lot of changes coming in the upcoming months.
For one thing, with all the choices in personalization that consumers will have when it comes to the device, the Apple Watch will need a greater amount of space in each store than if there were, for instance, only three choices. It’s possible that the choices will be behind glass, with extra Apple Store employees on hand behind the counter to help shoppers try on different sizes and to interact with the software.
