Every year, Apple gets into the spirit of Christmas and gives away music, books, films, and apps for iOS. Here’s what you need to know for this year’s 12 Days of Gifts.
The promotion runs from December 26 until January 6, with each gift being available to download for free for only 24 hours. Giveaways in the past have included episodes of popular TV shows, full-length movies, music videos, short films, books, and iPhone apps/games. In order to see the gifts there is a dedicated app for iOS, which shows users the new gift every day and provides a link to that gift to download. Everything is kept secret until the day it becomes free, so no one knows what we will get this year. In fact, Arron Hirst from RazorianFly has even suggested that Apple might not even offer the promotion in the UK this year; we hope that’s wrong! Usually we see talk about it by now but there is no sign of it on the Canadian App Store page, which is why we are a little concerned.
