Apple places multi-page Apple Watch ad in Vogue Magazine

It looks like Apple’s revving its engines for a huge marketing blitz for the Apple Watch ahead of the launch in April. The device has been featured on several magazine covers like Self. It also has a multi-page spread in Vogue’s March issue. According to a report by MacRumors, the ad shows several different watch casings and band designs in cool, crisp ads that show nothing but the watch itself on a white background. The images are real-life size, so consumers can see how big it is. Some of the images are shown in close-up of the bands to show details. The Leather Loop is shows, as well as the Milanese Loop and a green banded Apple Watch sport. On another page is the rose gold Edition version with a Rose Gray Modern Buckle band. 

It looks like Apple is targeting both fashion and fitness markets and it’s likely that we’ll see ads appear in other publications as we get closer to the launch date. Marketing otherwise has been fairly laid back up until this month, with just one appearance in September at Colette, a fashion boutique in Paris, and the cover of Vogue China in October.

Apple has asked developers to have their apps ready by mid-February, maybe for an upcoming event or marketing purposes.
