On Thursday, Apple sent out invitations to a March 9 event to be held in San Francisco where details for the release of the Apple Watch will be unveiled. Apple shares at near all-time highs right now, giving Apple a market capitalization of about $758 billion. The event will let Tim Cook show off the watch and show people why they need one. According to the president of Creative Strategies Inc., developers have had at least three months to get their apps in order.
Last month, Cook said the watch would ship in April. We haven’t gotten much more information about the line aside from the fact that the base model will cost $349.
The invitation says “Spring forward.” The event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater at 10 am on March 9. Clocks go ahead on the Saturday evening/Sunday morning before, which might have someone to do with the title of the invite. The entire focus of the event will be the Apple Watch, so it should be interesting.
