Apple TV adds more channels

If you haven’t noticed, Apple has dropped the price of the Apple TV by about 30 percent to cost US$69. This means that we could possibly see a brand-new unit soon. Apple has added three new free channels: Tastemade, an online travel and food network; TED, with various presentations; and Young Hollywood, which is based on celebrities. These new channels bring up the number to over 50, with the latest being HBO Now which will launch next month.

The TED channel has over 1,500 videos from a variety of different presenters. They are all free.

Tastemade TV is being debuted by Tastemade; the channel’s content will be refreshed weekly and will focus on travel and food destinations around Austin, Texas.

Young Hollywood will premiere seven original series in March and then will regularly show new series on Apple TV.
