Tim Cook to donate much of wealth to charity

Tim Cook talked about giving away his wealth in a story Fortune magazine published on Thursday. Cook will pay for the education of his 10-year-old nephew, and then will give the rest away to different causes.

Other execs who have much more money than Cook have also promised to devote money to charities. Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and Larry Ellison are just a few of the 120 people who have said they would give away their money to those in need. Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and Lary Ellison each have a net worth of more than $54 billion and are among the five richest people in the world.

A lot of Cook’s money is tied up in an Apple grant which is now worth $860 million.
