A survey conducted by a Forbes writer shows that about only two out of 230 college kids plan to buy the Apple Watch, which doesn’t really bode well. However, his survey isn’t representative of all ranges of the people who will be buying an Apple Watch; analysts say about 22.5 million Apple watches will be sold. So why the big gap?
The two who answered “yes” to the Forbes writer said they would buy the device merely for the looks of attention they’d get while wearing it.
As an aside, it’s not just iPhone users who will be able to use the Watch. People who don’t have an iPhone already can use it to track their fitness metrics, listen to music, tell time, use Apple Pay, and use Passbook flight check-ins.
