Save your old iDevices because the iOS 9 could give them new life

One thing that really annoyed iDevice owners was when the iOS made older devices incompatible with many of the new apps and features. It forced many people to buy a new iPhone or iPad. Now, there are some consumers that buy every new iDevice once they come out. So, these customers don't really care about this news. But, for those who like to keep their iPhone for a few years without having to shell out a few hundred bucks every year, are excited about the possibility of the future release of iOS 9.

According to a report by 9to5Mac.com, the iOS 9 is supposed to have a new optimization method that will better support older hardware like your iPhone 4S for example. In the past, Apple's iOS releases haven't been too friendly to the older iDevices and it's one of the main complaints that Apple consumers have with the company.

If they get this iOS 9 to do what these reports are claiming, Apple fanatics can keep using their older iDevices. However, keep in mind, these devices can only be a few generations old. Nothing older than an iPhone 4S or the iPad mini.

So, if you have an iDevice that's only 2 generations or less, then hold onto them. Don't trade them in or sell them just yet. You can potentially get some more mileage out of them.
