Taylor Swift will put 1989 on Apple Music

Apple and Taylor Swift have made nice now and she has agreed to put her newest album, 1989, available for streaming on Apple Music. After she called out Apple on social media regarding the plan to not pay labels or artists for Apple Music’s three-month free trial period and Apple did a proper about-face and agreed to pay artists, they made up and it seems everything is hunky-dory now. In a tweet today, Taylor Swift said “I’ve decided to put 1989 on Apple music … and happily so.”

That, if you aren’t aware, is the album that has Blank Space and “Shake It Off”  and it just happens to be the second largest album released this year, popularity-wise. So yeah, it would be good for Apple to have it in its lineup. She went on to say today that “In case you’re wondering if this is some exclusive deal like you’ve seen Apple do with other artists, it’s not. This is simply the first time it’s felt right in my gut to stream my album. Thank you, Apple, for our change of heart.”
