Apple’s new person-to-person payment patent application

Apple has just filed a patent for a brand-new feature of Apple Pay: person-to-person transactions. It’s the only thing that the payment program is missing, and the one thing that will make it blow its competition out of the water. According to a report by Business Insider, Apple is planning to make it possible for people to send money to another person right from their Wallet app.

The person would go into the app, decide which credit card to use, type in the amount to send, and then choose the recipient. This could help Apple Pay dominate the market, but keep in mind that just because Apple applies for a patent, it doesn’t mean it will actually create the tech.
