WSJ: Apple testing larger iPad and iPhone?

According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple is starting to prototype larger versions of the iPad and iPhone. WSJ got this information from sources in the supply chain. The up-sized devices even be as big as a 13” iPad – quite a step up from the 9.7” device on sale at the moment. Could a large tablet ever take off? Maybe if it’s sold in a similar form to a laptop (i.e. with a keyboard dock) but it’s certainly not usable in a similar way to the current iPad.

This doesn’t mean we’ll see them any time soon (or ever) – Apple prototypes a lot of products that don’t get released.
