Siri takes swipes at Google Glass

Apple has updated Siri and it now makes comments about Google Glass, calling it “half empty.” If you say “Okay, Glass” then it’ll come back with a variety of responses including “I’m not Glass. And I’m just fine with that.”

This discovery was highlighted by The Verge on Monday. It fits what Tim Cook has previously said about Google Glass, that the device wouldn’t become a mass market item. Instead Tim Cook believes that it might be better to have wrist-based wearable computing praising devices like the Nike FuelBand.

It’s widely expected that Apple will launch its own wrist-based device sometime in 2014. Apple has filed for ownership for the “iWatch” trademark in various markets so it seems likely that the device will be called iWatch.
