Apple updates iTunes Festival app with video streaming

Apple has released an update to the iTunes Festival app so iOS users can now stream video from the highly popular festival. The update didn’t do anything else. The app gives users artist information, schedules, and news about the acts performing at the London festival.

Users can stream some of the performances live while others will be up for download later. If you’re watching it on iTunes or Apple TV you’ll be able to watch these gigs in high-definition. If you’ve got an Apple TV then you’ll find the iTunes Festival channel on your device like in previous years.

The festival spans over the entirety of September with performances from different artists every day. They’ve got some big names like Dizzee Rascal, Robin Thicke, Lady Gaga, and Justin Timberlake. This lineup was announced back in May when Apple called it "the best ever with an incredible lineup of global superstars and emerging artists." Apple also has a Twitter handle (@itunesfestival) to give users up-to-date information on performances and scheduling.
