Samsung announces gold Galaxy S4

This won’t help the cause for those who argue Samsung doesn’t copy Apple. Just days after the gold iPhone 5S went on sale (and proved very popular, being the quickest color variant to sell out), Samsung has released its own gold phone.

Samsung has announced the Galaxy S4 “Gold Edition” that’ll have a gold plastic trim on the outside. The front glass can either be brown or pink as well. In the promotional pictures released it doesn't look like it’ll win many people over; it looks a bit cheap. It was announced by Samsung Gulf, the Middle Eastern outfit.

This gold movement is also expected to be joined by HTC, which is planning a gold version of the “One” smartphone according to some new leaked parts.

Both Samsung and HTC have been accused in the past of copying Apple’s designs. However in recent years we’ve seen both of these companies release more innovative phones that don’t resemble the iPhone. This latest announcement, however, proves that Samsung isn’t completely done with copying Apple.
