Like many other similar games in the AppStore, Sniper Shooter by Fun Games for Free puts you behind the scope of a sniper and tests your inner marksman skills. With relatively simple graphics, easy controls, and not too much gore, this game should even appeal to those that don't usually enjoy violent video games. Sniper Shooter currently offers 60 challenges neatly divided up into 12 Chapters, but the developer promises to keep adding more. The levels increase in difficulty and complexity as you go on; each challenge with it's own backstory, target(s), and intel. Once you complete a chapter you can replay it and complete secondary objectives to earn extra money which can be used to purchase more advanced guns.

'Sniper style' games are not anything new (a search in the AppStore produces 350+ results), yet Sniper Shooter managed to stand out among the crowd for me. Unlike other similar games with tons of options, complicated controls, and a confusing system of levels, Sniper Shooter has two options total (sound and music on off), simple tilt to aim tap to shoot controls, and a straightforward level system. This allowed me to focus completely on the game itself rather than mastering the controls or getting the settings right. The other thing that also made this game so fun was the interesting challenge scenarios which ranged from sniping the killer in Psycho before he killed the lady in the shower to preventing J.F.K.'s assassination.

Though free games are usually filled with distracting ads and are designed so that you have to pay to get anywhere in the game, Sniper Shooter is a game that defies the norm. It is ad free and even though it gives you the option to purchase better guns with real money, you can still complete the game without even paying a cent. With this in mind I would recommend this game to pretty much everyone. Because Sniper Shooter by Fun Games has addictive gameplay, easy controls, and looks good too, on top of being free it really is a no-brainer whether or not to give it a try.
