There is no question about it: fall has some of the most gorgeous scenery and natural beauty in the whole year. This app gives you a way to enjoy this scenery and share your love of the nature with others.

When you load the app hopefully your experience is different than mine. Instantly I am greeted by multiple pop-ups and ads and then it seems to take an awful long time for the main screen to appear. Once at the main screen you can tap on a picture and start to browse through the options.

This leads me to the topic of browsing; again, the app performs incredibly slow and pop-ups are pretty much non-stop. Some pictures just never seem to load for me no matter how many times I tap on them.

When you do happen to find an HD photo you like, save it to your Library so you can then use it as your wallpaper.

 

Incredibly Slow

For me I just can’t seem to get past the painstakingly slow speeds. Trying to get back to the main screen once you’re on a picture is next to impossible. Between the pop-ups and the slow speeds it’s enough to make me want to give up on the app.

There are some filters available so you can sort the images by popular, random, and new. As far as features go, that's it.

By purchasing the full version all you're doing is removing the ads, which are plentiful. Speaking of plentiful there is also a decent number of HD wallpapers available. You can swipe through them and zoom in by pinching.

The user interface leaves lots to be desired. I was far from impressed by it as it feels dated and not very user-friendly at all.

I get that the whole point of this app is to allow you to choose a photo to use as your device’s wallpaper but this simple task is made to be annoying and time-consuming thanks to the poor design and slow speeds of this app.

• The user interface is busy, unfriendly, and frustrating to use

Final Thoughts

I love everything about the holidays so the Thanksgiving HD Wallpapers app seems right up my alley. Sadly it was disappointing and frustrating to use. For me this one isn’t worth the download despite the fact that it’s free.
