Rope'n'Fly 2 app review: traverse between towering skyscrapers by swinging a destructible ragdoll

Reviews

Introduction

Being the kind of game that is both wonderfully simple and incredibly addictive, Rope’n’Fly 2 has you swinging from building to building with your destructible ragdoll character with nothing but a rope and your own reflexes between you and the endless city below.

The best racing games for iPhone

Although graphically this is a very basic game, there are some very nice touches such as weather effects and ragdoll physics which I think the developer has done a fantastic job of incorporating into Rope’n’Fly 2.

You’re sure to have a massive amount of fun with this game so be sure to check it out!

Swing Swing!

Having received a lot of requests for new and improved features in the original Rope’n’Fly release, the developer decided to create a whole new sequel to incorporate changes such as destructible ragdoll effects and a vastly improved physics engine overall for increased realism.

You’ll notice that the cityscape has been improved with the buildings in the background now presented in 3D and the ability to play pretty much without end in a never-ending city.

One of the more engaging additions to this game, in my opinion, would be what the developer has described as being Real-time Dynamic changing weather effects, which include rain and thunderstorms as well as regular sunny days.

I think this is a very nice addition which definitely adds to the eye candy factor of the game as a whole.

You’ll also be pleased to know that there are now 12 different game modes with each requiring something a little different from you, such as reaching a certain distance within a given time limit or with only a limited number of ropes to get you there.

With OpenFeint integration you’ll also be able to access online leaderboards to compare your high scores against other players online, including your own friends who also play Rope’n’Fly 2.

OpenFeint is also used to manage offline high scores and there are more than 30 different achievements to unlock which are awarded based on your performance in-game.

All in all, this is a very fun game which is definitely worth taking for a swing, if you’ll excuse the pun!
