A One-Stop Shop

This app aims to be a one-stop shop in a sense that it wants to be able to act as the only app you will need. It provides you with knowledge, resources, convenience, and can be a time saver since you can find so much within this one app.

What can you expect to find here? The app provides medical calculators, information on various drugs, and clinical information. The library of resources is so extensive that there are more than 850 topics covered. This is of course the free version of the app but there is also a premium paid version available. The paid version gives you over 600 resources that are categorized into 35 medical specialties. If you plan on using this app on a regular basis the premium version is likely a wise investment.

There are a number of in-app purchases available so you can pick and choose the resources that are best for you. Add-ins range from $9.99 and go all the way up to $179.99.

A Look at What You Get

Because this review is looking at the free version we will go over what's included in it. You'll have access to outlines in clinical medicine, archimedes (medical calculator with interactive tools), RXDrugs (information on both generic and brands), and MedAlert. MedAlert is a collection of journal summaries that have a specific focus. You will be able to read up on summaries, breaking clinical news, trial results, drug alerts, and other important information.

While there are plenty of features and great tools in this app it's also important to discuss the user interface. Unfortunately I find it a bit of a letdown. It's just very basic and simple-looking, which I guess for some people is just fine. It gets the job done and you can certainly navigate the app fairly easily; it just feels like it could benefit from a facelift. Not only that, but it would be nice to see even more features added that make using the app an easier and faster experience.

It seems as though the older version of this app had some bugs in it so it is highly recommended you upgrade to the latest version if you’ve got an older one. Installing the newest version should clear up any issues you may have.
