Introduction
Ghost hunting television shows and websites are extremely popular now and with the Ghost Capture app you can create your own spirit photos for fun and to mess with your friends.

I know that there are believers out there, but Ghost Capture provides the chance to test their (and your friends') belief in spirits and the afterlife. It's up to you if you want to share the truth with them or not, but it can be a good way to test people's limits and have a little fun with them.
Look Above Your Head
The Ghost Capture app operates by using a photo from your library, or taking one at the moment and add a "spirit" to it. With the free version you have six different "ghosts" to choose from, you can position the ghost where you like, and you can adjust its size and transparency, all within the screen.

The interface is extremely easy to use and takes no time to get used to. The opening screen of the app lists the instructions of how to use it, and you can access these instructions at anytime during the process by tapping the question mark in the top right of the screen, without losing the project you're working on.
Why Use This App When You Can't Save It
An immediate problem arose with Ghost Capture while I was testing it: there is no update for iOS 7 so you cannot save the final product. The only information regarding the update is to "check back soon."
Best iphone and ipad apps
To be honest this app is very basic, and an update should really have been scheduled long before the new iOS launch, not after. Keep in mind I haven't even updated to the latest version of the iOS, which puts this app at least two versions behind.
Why would anyone want to pay the $0.99 to upgrade to the full version when your free version doesn't even support the latest operating system for the device you're selling to?
Pros and Cons
Pros
-
A cool way to mess with spirit "believers" and your friends
-

Instructions are available on the home screen, and on the fly without disrupting your current project
Cons
-
There is no update for iOS 7 so you can't save your work
-
No word as to when the update will be available
Final Thoughts
I was really looking forward to using Ghost Capture, especially since Halloween has just passed. But sadly the developers not being prepared for the iOS update, and even worse now, being two updates behind tells me they care nothing about their users.
If you're looking to get this effect, just take the extra time and construct your spirit pictures in Photoshop. Sure, you won't be able to get results on the fly, but at least it will work, and I'm sure the final product will be much better than what Ghost Capture has to offer.
