Deal With Thieving Zombies In 'Zombie Parkour Runner'

Zombie Parkour Runner is a side-scrolling platformer of sorts. You loosely control Kara, the game's protagonist who runs throughout the various locales of her city dealing with the zombies who had the audacity to steal her stuff. I say "loosely control" because the running is always done automatically. Kara always runs toward the right side of the screen -- always. However, you control her parkour skills, which include jumping, hurling over and sliding under obstacles, wall running, zip-lining and other actions.

All of this is done simply by tapping the screen, and the locations where you can use these moves are all context sensitive. Come across a billboard bridging a gap? Press the screen and Kara wall-runs across it. Low-hanging ledge? Tap the screen and Kara slides right under it. The controls are about as simple as they get, and they work brilliantly. You get points for collecting coins on your route, doing parkour moves, and killing zombies (done using parkour, of course). These points are totaled to earn up to three stars so there is reason to replay levels. On top of that, each level has an item stolen by the zombies for Kara to collect. You can look at these items in Kara's apartment to get a sense of story for the game, but it's very loose.

Zombie Parkour Runner comes free with 24 levels, with 12 more that can be bought from the in-game store. It's a fun game that I enjoyed playing although it is a bit on the short side (most people could probably blow through all 24 base levels in under thirty minutes).
