iMore app review: the must have app for all Mac enthusiasts

Reviews

Introduction

Gone are the days of Mac users being accused of drinking the Kool-Aid of Apple; in fact, I can't find a single one of those people who mocked me carrying a Zune in their pocket. Instead they converted. If you want the best and latest news on all things Mac, look no further than the iMore app.

Whether you're looking for the latest news, how-to's with the latest OS reviews or apps, or Mac-related podcasts, it's all here in one sweet little app.

Just Take A Bite Of That Apple

Opening iMore gives you that simple and straightforward interface that you expect from any Mac-style interface. A basic scrollable list with each category is plainly listed so you know exactly what you're getting your self into by entering it.

The News section has its top stories displayed at the top of the screen. Just swipe through the images to view the top five stories of the day, and just below is a list of the other Mac-related stories from the past weeks. The stories aren't limited to just images and text; many of them include embedded video to accompany the articles. This worked most effectively with the stories on Maverick, the new Mac OS, providing the reader a better understanding of what each writer is addressing.

The How To section is exactly that if you have any issue with your iDevice, your MacBook Pro, Desktop, an app or piece of software, the answer is probably there and given to you in an easy step-by-step instruction.

If You've Got A Tip Just Share It

The iMore also includes reviews as well as direct links to the many podcasts that the staff at iMore and developer Mobile Nations host. So absolutely everything your Mac-loving heart desires is here under one roof and exceptionally-laid-out.

iMore has one more thing up its sleeve that most news apps don't. Sure if you have a question the staff will answer it, but if you have something to contribute to a news article or how to you are more than welcome to do so. Simply contact the staff at iMore and they will add your tip or suggestion to their article. It definitely takes the average tech news app to the next level and proves that they really are "user friendly."
