Introduction

As a writer I always have a dictionary and a thesaurus with me whether it's a review or a screenplay I'm working on. I usually have a dictionary app and a thesaurus app ready if I need them, but now with the WordWeb Dictionary app it looks like I'll only need one.

Never At A Loss For Words

The WordWeb Dictionary is possibly the best app of its type on the market, and I should know as I've tried the majority of them. Almost every month I would discover another dictionary app, thesaurus app, or both, and switch from the one I was using to reap a few minor benefits that differed from the last.

WordWeb offers the best of both: a dictionary and thesaurus in one simple app. Like most apps of this kind simply begin typing the word you like and the list below begins to populate with options.

As per usual, you tap your selection to get the definition just to double-check you have the word you were looking for and continue on with your composition.

Included in the definition list you will find a number of symbols which relates to the thesaurus side of the app. The equal sign signifies a synonym to the word, the half black circle is the antonym, and there are other words shown that are easily referenced in the Change Setting section of the app.

Final Thoughts

Well it's official: the WordWeb Dictionary app has replaced both my dictionary and thesaurus apps for good. I would suggest you do the same. With all the other apps of this time I've tried on my own time or reviewed on this site, WordWeb is, bar none, the best of the best.

Regardless if you are a student, reporter, writer, or just a lover of words, WordWeb Dictionary is the app that will replace your standard reference guide.
