Introduction
Offering a gorgeous interface to accompany a truly impressive set of importing and exporting tools is this awesome file manager, which enables you to import documents via Wi-Fi transfer before viewing or playing them from directly within the app.
I’m very impressed with what the developer has managed to achieve with this app. Everything about it just screams “quality,” and I’m particularly interested in the WiFi Access feature.
This is very cool as it enables you to upload files from your computer’s web browser and have them immediately available within the app.
Hide, Disk!
When you first start using HiDisk - Lock Private Photo.s album.s / pic.ture / image.s + Video.s privacy + Secret Note.s protect.ion+ Audio record.er safe + Personal Office Doc.ument ( docs , pdf , ppt , xls ,txt) viewer/Data Disk vault by Secure Folder.s Manage.r as A File.s Reader, you’ll need to begin by creating a password that will later be used to secure any files you add to the app.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll be taken to the main interface which features a grid view of your folders. Of course, at this point you won’t have anything imported into HiDisk, so it’s time to start adding some of your files!
This can be achieved by using the very cool WiFi Access feature. All you need to do is make sure your iPhone and computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network before visiting the prescribed web address. From here, you’ll be able to upload files using your web browser.
Comprehensive and Secure File Management
The files you upload will immediately be displayed in the HiDisk interface. I decided to import a PDF document and I have to say, I’m already impressed!
The file showed up within a couple of seconds and the in-app document viewer features some great resolution, supporting both landscape and portrait modes. What’s more, you can tap the arrow icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen to share your files via email, or export them to other apps via the Open In… feature.
As well as using Wi-Fi, you can also add files from your camera, Camera Roll, or via Bluetooth and USB. You can even write your own notes and record voice clips from directly within the app, so HiDisk really does offer a comprehensive range of tools for importing and exporting different forms of media.
