Introduction

Yep you read the title of this app right it's the Miller Lite TaxiFinder. Miller Lite is encouraging safe and responsible behavior by giving people and easy and quick way to always find a taxi so there is no reason to be left in a lurch, or worse yet driving when you shouldn't be. This app uses your mobile device's GPS coordinates to find where you are and then locate the closest taxi company for you to contact. This means you don’t even have to enter in your location!

How many times have you needed a taxi only to realize you don’t know of any companies in the area or that you aren’t even sure of your exact location so how do you call a cab? This app looks after both of those issues for you so you can just focus on finding a cab as quickly as possible so you can be on your way.

If you don't want to use the GPS coordinates to locate you then you can also manually enter in a city and state. All you have to do is tap on the taxi company's flag to be taken to the name and phone number. You can contact companies right from within the app by tapping on "Click to Call", which will connect you to the 1-800-TAXICAB taxi hotline. This is like having your own personal driver on call whenever you need them.

 

Using the App

When it comes to the user experience of this app reviews are a bit mixed. First off the app is "intended" for consumers who are 21 years of age and older. When you first enter the app you can choose to Find a Cab or Find Me. My experience with it finding me was smooth and without issue, it instantly found me located on the map. Now outside of this action I had nothing but frustrations with this app.

There are no instructions here, it appears as though you can locate limos and taxis near you yet there is no banner or icon to click on that takes you to the list of companies. I have now tried using a number of locations, even manually entering some in to see if I could get different results – so far none of have worked. When I tap on the Click to Call button nothing happens as well. It’s very disappointing to say the least.

Final Thoughts

Unfortunately the Miller Lite TaxiFinder app is a big letdown. While it has plenty of promise and I really like the idea behind it, nothing seems to work on the app and there are absolutely no instructions to help you figure it out.
